Large dog raises money for Leeds Children’s Charity

A very large dog has been used by the staff at Stratstone, Mercedes Benz, Leeds, to raise money for the work of the Leeds Children’s Charity.

We are very immensely grateful to all the staff for their generosity, and for their ongoing support of the charity.

The dog is now lounging in the offices of the charity and will be used to raise even more funds to be used to provide free residential short breaks/respite for disadvantaged children aged 7 to 11 years.

Unfortunately, the fabulous car was not on offer ….. but I am sure that Louise Warren, Divisional Marketing Leader, Stratstone, will be only too happy to speak to you about the car and the work they are undertaking on behalf of the charity.

If you would like to help the Leeds Children’s Charity in any way, please contact by email – info@leedschildrenscharity.org.uk or telephone 0113 245 4281.

Northern Rail to sponsor rail tickets for Leeds Children’s Charity

Northern Rail have very generously sponsored 243 rail tickets for disadvantaged children, and their escorts, who will be travelling from Leeds to Silverdale during the summer of 2012 to enjoy a holiday by the sea.  Drew Haley, Client and Stakeholder Manager, Northern Rail, is a great supporter of the Leeds Children’s Charity and the trustees are extremely grateful for this sponsorship.

    Off to Silverdale

Over 400 children will enjoy a free residential holiday at Leeds Children’s Holiday Centre, Silverdale, during 2012 away from difficult home situations and responsibilities beyond their years.  A holiday at Silverdale is transformational for many children who would not otherwise have an opportunity to have fun, play and be a child again.

If you would like to sponsor a train ticket for a child to enjoy a holiday by the sea, please contact info@leedschildrenscharity.org.uk or telephone 0113 245 4281.
