Job Vacancy: Administrator (Part Time)

Role: To provide administrative and clerical support to the Leeds Children’s Charity, Chairman, and Board of Trustees

Responsible to: The Chairman and Board of Trustees

Working hours: 20 hours per week

Salary: £8 per hour

Location: Leeds Children’s Charity, 6-8 York Place, Leeds, LS1 2DS

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To provide word processing and data processing service for the charity
  • To provide administrative and clerical duties to the charity, chairman, and board of trustees
  • To follow health and safety regulations at all times and to work in a safe environment for both yourself and others

Personal Specification/Essential Requirements:

  • To have good communication skills
  • To have knowledge of Word Office, Excel, Powerpoint, and database systems
  • To be able to work positively as a member of a team and be reliable when working with young people and colleagues
  • To have patience, flexibility, and resilience with an ability to be firm as well as sympathetic towards the needs of young people
  • To have good timekeeping skills and reliability in order to respect the working hours of other team members

Job Description:

  • To deal with incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • To attend trustee meetings and to deal with agenda, minutes and supporting documentation
  • To deal with administrative and clerical tasks
  • To deal with applications for holiday places
  • To maintain records in line with data protection in respect of applications for holiday places
  • To liaise with schools and supporting organisations in respect of applications and referrals

To take on any other tasks as requested by the Chairman and Trustees as appropriate
